Pts kickboxing club was started in Killea Hall by former 3 times World Champion Paddy Toland in late 2003. Paddy seen at that time that there was a lot of young people who were lookin for something to do so he started his first beginner’s class on the Monday night which saw the hall fill very quickly. In the next few weeks paddy was turning people away as he was full every night from then on there was a 3 month waiting list as the word speared about the training Paddy could see that there was great potential for some great fighters to come out of the club and it was not long until paddy had his first champion Arron McCarron won the Irish light middle weight in Waterford this was only the start for this young fighter who went on two win 2 European titles this in turn give the other fighter in the club the confidence to believe they two could reach the top and this has been the case as PT’s has produced more champions - Mary McCauley the current Irish light-headed Weight Champion
- Stephanie Green Jr Irish Champion
- Commonwealth Champion Tomas Logue
This is a fantastic achievement for a club that is so young, it says a lot for the dedication and hard work that all the students put in to get to the top of there sport. Not only do PT’s have great fighters they also have a great grading system for those that want to go on and become teachers of the sport of kickboxing and in recent times PT’s has awarded four black belts after 4 years of training in return these Black Belts have started to teach there own class which will only enhance the sport further PT’s has gone from strength to strength so much so that in 2007 Paddy Toland opened up a full time gym, this gym is without doubt the best gym in Ireland with over 10 000 Sq ft of training area that will cater for all types of martial arts as well as kickboxing and general fitness so for the people of Donegal and Derry the future looks very bright.
